How to Apply

Choosing to pursue college credit at Baylor during high school is a tremendous undertaking. This program is meant for students who are prepared to be challenged, stretched and ready to excel. Accelerate prepares students for the rigor of Baylor and other college classes. If completed successfully, it will demonstrate the students' ability to perform in college-level courses. Baylor faculty will instruct each class in a friendly and flexible environment.

Who is Eligible for Accelerate Courses?
  • Rising high school juniors or seniors 
  • Students with a strong record of academic success reflected through mostly As and Bs in courses
  • Baylor recommends that students are on track to complete 4-year units of math and 4-year units of science by the time they graduate
Steps to Enroll
  • Talk to your high school counselor about your interest and eligibility
  • Complete your online application for admission*
  • Submit transcripts with ALL high school semesters of work completed
  • Once accepted, complete the Advising Questionnaire
  • Meet with an Accelerate advisor to register for courses
  • Pay your tuition and fees
Tuition and Fees

Courses are $750 per credit hour tuition. Most courses are 3-4 hours of credit, so the Accelerate courses are between $2,250-3,000 a class. (A savings of $1,300 per hour!)

*Students who participate in the program continuously through the fall and spring semesters, or do not attend only the summer semester, need not reapply. Students who do not attend a fall or spring semester will need to submit a new application upon returning to the program.
