Associate Pastor
(Worship and Outreach)
Principal Function:
The Associate Pastor (Worship and Outreach) shall be responsible to the church and supervised by the Pastor for leading the church in planning, conducting, and evaluating church worship and outreach (Go) ministries. The Associate Pastor shall shall meet the scriptural requirements outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, and Titus 1:5-9.
Job Classification: Professional Staff
Cooperate with the Pastoral Staff in planning, conducting, and evaluating all worship services; be responsible for selection of music and leading the worship and media teams.
Guide in the selection, enlistment and equipping of leaders in the Church worship ministries.
Prepare an annual budget and equipment and supply purchases and operate the worship, communication, and administrative ministries according to budget guidelines and church policies.
Cooperate with the Pastoral Staff in the development and implementation of an outreach strategy to engage the church members in outreach to the community.
Cooperate with Pastoral staff in the preaching, pastoral care and administrative ministries of the church.
Supervise the Ministry Assistant (Media Specialist) and other personnel as assigned.
Attend staff meetings and general meetings of the church.
Participate in opportunities for personal growth and professional development
Serve as ex-officio of church committees as assigned by the Pastor
Comply with all established church policies and procedures as well as all applicable federal and state laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
