Scholarships for New Students

Scholarships for New Students

Truett Seminary awards over $5 million in scholarships every year with 100% of Truett students receiving a significant scholarship award. This is made possible by the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT), Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and numerous other generous donors.

Scholarship awards are limited to published attempted hours total. Scholarship awards may be extended for Baptist students and students in the joint degree programs.

Non-Competitive Scholarships

Truett Seminary Scholarship

Truett Seminary seeks to ease the financial burden of tuition for Truett students to help them focus more fully on their studies and work. To ensure that quality theological education remains affordable, Truett awards a 50% scholarship to all Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Ministry students, totaling over $45,000 per student over the course of his or her time in seminary.

Baptist Student Scholarships

In addition to the Truett Seminary Scholarship awarded to all students, Baptist students may receive an additional award thanks to the generosity of the BGCT:

Master of Divinity $150 per credit hour
Master of Arts in Christian Ministry $100 per credit hour
Master of Theological Studies $100 per credit hour
