I have loved mathematics since I was a kid. In college, I started as a business major but quickly changed to math since it was the math classes that I enjoyed the most. While working on my M.S. degree in Mathematics, I was assigned to work with a statistics professor in the department, Raid Amin. He always shared what kind of problems he was working on and it was made clear to me that statistics had everything I loved about mathematics but applied to real world problems. He encouraged me to pursue a Ph.D. in Statistics which I earned from Baylor in 2013 under the mentorship of Jane Harvill. I completed a post-doc at the University of California, Davis and have returned to Baylor as a Lecturer. My wife, Becky, is a Baylor grad as well and we both love being back in Texas.
