Viewing R-rated movies leads to decreased church attendance and lessens importance of faith among young people, according to a study by a Baylor researcher published online in the Review of Religious Research. Quoted is Phil Davignon, a doctoral candidate in sociology in Baylor's College of Arts & Sciences. Neubert, Ph.D., associate professor of management and entrepreneurship and Chavanne Chair of Christian Ethics in Business in the Hankamer School of Business, on his research conducted with Kevin Dougherty and Jerry Park, both associate professors of sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences, and Jenna Griebel, research assistant and Ph.D. student in the department of sociology, that found that American entrepreneurs pray more, see God as personal and attend services that support business.
