Associate to Full Professor Theological Bioethics

The Department of Religion seeks to fill a position at the rank of associate to full professor in Theological Bioethics to start August 1, 2023. The successful candidate will be a Ph.D. and will be a bioethics scholar who uses insights from the Christian Tradition to inform their scholarship. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, a demonstrated research agenda, and the ability to seek external funding. We especially welcome applications from candidates with clinical experience as well as those whose scholarship engages the social determinants of health and health disparities. The candidate will be active in the Judeo-Christian tradition. The application deadline is October 1, 2022. The Department of Religion offers both undergraduate and Ph.D. courses.

Lecturer in Ministry Studies

The Department of Religion seeks to fill a position at the rank of lecturer (Practical Studies/Ministry Guidance) to start August 1, 2023. The successful candidate will be a Ph.D. in Religion. Preference will be given to candidates with undergraduate teaching experience. Candidate will teach introductory courses in Christian Scriptures, Christian Heritage, and Ministry Studies. The application deadline is October 1, 2022.

Assistant to Associate Professor Black or Latinx Baptist Historical Studies

The Department of Religion seeks to fill a position at the rank of assistant to associate professor in History of Christianity (Black Baptist Church or Latinx Baptist
Church studies) to begin August 1, 2023. The successful candidate will be a Ph.D. in History of Christianity with demonstrated experience in Black or Latinx communities. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, a demonstrated research agenda, the ability to seek external funding, and to candidates who are active in the Baptist Tradition. The application deadline is September 15, 2022. The Department of Religion offers both undergraduate and Ph.D. courses.
