Baylor2Seminary Scholarship

Each year, Baylor University hosts a scholarship event for prospective students who have selected Religion as their major or minor and who intend to pursue Christian vocational ministry. The application deadline is November 28, 2022.  One participant will be selected to receive a $10,000 per year scholarship ($5,000/semester), renewable for up to four years (up to $40,000 total). This Baylor2Seminary program additionally streamlines admission into Truett Seminary provided the student meets the program criteria and awards the student a 100% tuition Truett scholarship for those that complete the undergrad program with at least a 3.25 GPA. The recipient also has the opportunity to receive credit for up to 18 hours toward his or her Truett Seminary degree, thus accelerating the completion time for earning the master's degree. Applications for the opportunity to attend the Baylor2Seminary event are due to the Admissions office by midnight (CST) on November 28, 2022.  For updates regarding specific deadline dates and further information, please check Baylor University’s Undergraduate Admissions website for Baylor2Baylor Programs. The scholarship will be applied beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year.

Hubler Endowed Scholarship

Gifts from the Hubler Family Trust established the Raymond O. and Allene Breech Hubler Endowed Scholarship Fund to benefit five incoming Baylor University students who are participating in the Ministry Guidance Program in the Department of Religion. The Hubler Scholarship is a competitive scholarship awarded to selected ministry students who are Religion majors, based on academic achievement and ministry leadership involvement. It is available to students of any denomination. The amount of the Hubler Scholarship is $5000 per Fall and Spring semesters for full-time enrollment (12 hours +), renewable for up to four years (up to a total of $40,000). Applications are due to the Ministry Guidance office by March 15, 2022

Baylor Ministry Scholarship

Baylor University provides tuition assistance to students who are preparing for careers in church-related vocational ministry. The amount of the Baylor Ministry Scholarship is 15% of tuition for Baylor undergraduate hours. It is available to students of any denomination. Applicants must be working toward a Religion major or minor or other ministry related degrees such as Church Music or Church Recreation. Students may apply for this scholarship at any time but must have the application process completed prior to the beginning of the semester for which they desire to receive the scholarship. We recommend that students complete the application as soon as possible so that it will appear early in your financial aid package. 

BGCT (Texas Baptists) Ministry Scholarship

For current students, Baylor University provides tuition assistance in coordination with the Baptist General Convention of Texas for Baptist students who are preparing for careers in church-related vocational ministry. The amount of this ministry scholarship is 5% of tuition for Baylor undergraduate hours, renewable through graduation. *Renewing and transfer students will reapply for this scholarship through the Ministry Guidance online scholarship portal. **Incoming freshman that will be initial 2023-2024 applicants, will apply directly to the BGCT for ministry scholarships. The BGCT will be accepting applications between April 1 and August 31, 2023.  The amount of these initial scholarships will be determined by the BGCT. Contact Dr. Steve Mullen for details.
