Weather Conditions Update -Telework, Jan 31-Feb 1, 2023
Baylor University LHSON
Telework All Day Tuesday & Wednesday, January 31-February 1, 2023
Dear BU LHSON Family,
The National Weather Service is placing Central and North Texas under a Winter Storm Warning – with the potential for icy conditions in our area beginning overnight. So, Baylor University will hold classes via remote instruction and staff will telework on Tuesday and on Wednesday, Jan. 31-Feb. 1, 2023.
The main impact to the North Texas area is expected to be ice-related, making road conditions hazardous. We strongly encourage students, faculty and staff to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. For staff who are unable to telework, please consult your direct supervisor.
MONDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIES
Activities scheduled for tonight (Open Lab) have been CANCELLED in The Clinical Simulation Building. The University will continue to monitor weather conditions and update the campus community accordingly.
TELEHEALTH/COUNSELING
If students are in need of healthcare or counseling during this time, 24/7 access is available for on-demand urgent care and counseling services through Baylor Telehealth by AcademicLiveCare.
We will continue to monitor the weather conditions and update you as we learn more. Stay warm and safe and please let us know if you need anything.
Sincerely,
Dean Plank
