  • What do I need to know about the HESI Admission Assessment Exam (A2)?

    All applicants are required to take the HESI A2 (entrance exam) before being considered for the nursing program.
    - English Composite
      (Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, and General Knowledge and Grammar)
    - Math
    - Learning and Personality Styles inventories

    Minimum scores of 80 or higher on both the HESI A2 English Composite and Math portions are required to be eligible for consideration to the nursing program.
     
  • What do I need to know about TOEFL?

    Students whose first/native language is not English are required to take the TOEFL, regardless of US education or years of residence. The Louise Herrington School of Nursing requires applicants to attain a minimum score of 560 on the paper based test, 220 on the computer based test , or 83 on the Internet based test (IBT).
