Research
Dr. Meraz is an Assistant Professor at Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing. Dr. Meraz’s primary research interest focuses on self-management strategies in older adults with heart failure. Specific areas of research include:

Medication decision-making
Intentional medication nonadherence
Older adults with heart failure
Diuretic nonadherence and hospital readmissions
Diuretic nonadherence and biomarkers

Teaching
Dr. Meraz, who has 20 years of teaching experience, joined the nursing faculty at LHSON in 2014. Dr. Meraz teaches Analysis and Synthesis of Complex Human Needs and Role of the Researcher. With over 15 years of clinical research experience, Dr. Meraz has a passion for teaching undergraduate students about the nurses’ role in clinical research.
