Welcome

Dear members of the Southwestern Division,

Your Division officers are so excited to welcome you to our conference for 2022! It has been a bit of a journey to get here, and our conference is shaping up to be a meaningful time together, sharing our art, music, scholarship, students, and so much more. And more than anything, a chance for us all to reconnect! And our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Eric Wilson and everyone at Baylor University for hosting this year. This was not something that was originally planned for them, and that they have stepped up to do this is wonderful and such a service to all of us.

We will have performances from eight fantastic ensembles, and the Intercollegiate Honor Band will be conducted by Allan McMurray. Our presentations will include a wide range of topics, from Harmoniemusik, to post Covid discussion, collaborating with composers, and much more. And we are so pleased that Jeff Girard and Midwest Sheet Music will be present.
