REGISTRATION COSTS:
- Conducting Fellows: (limited to 5 active conductors) $1,000 USD tuition
- Young Artists: (limited to 12 singers) $600 USD tuition
- Developing Conductors: $500 USD tuition
- Auditors: $350 USD fee
*An application fee of $30 applies to all applications.
AUDITION MATERIALS: Conducting Fellows (submission materials due April 1)
Applicants to the Conducting Fellows track should be experienced conductors in the early stages of their careers or currently working toward completing a degree in a graduate conducting program. Applicants should be capable of working with advanced repertoire and singers. Components of the application are listed below and can be submitted at the following link: ICCM Application.
- Completed Application, Letter of Interest, and CV
- Rehearsal video: 10-15 minutes of unedited video showing the conductor’s face and audible voice
- Performance video: 3-5 minutes of unedited video showing the conductor’s face
AUDITION MATERIALS: Young Artists (submission materials due April 15)
Applicants to the Young Artist track should be skilled singers in the beginning stages of their career—from undergraduate/graduate voice and choral music students to young professionals. Applicants should ideally be comfortable singing solo pieces in addition to ensemble singing. Components of the application are listed below and can be submitted at the following link: ICCM Application.
- Completed Application, Letter of Interest, and CV
- 1 art song or aria (preferably in a foreign language)
- Singing demonstration to include all of the following in one mp3 file: range demonstration, unaccompanied ascending and descending major scale & chromatic scale; a cappella ascending and descending whole tone scale.
AUDITION MATERIALS: Developing Conductor Track (submission materials due April 1)
Developing Conductor applicants should submit a completed application, letter of interest, CV, and short video demonstrating their gestural skills. Developing conductors observe all rehearsals, attend track-specific sessions to discuss gesture, rehearsal technique, and ensemble/organizational leadership. Developing Conductors should study all scores as though they were actively conducting to gain the maximum benefit. Application link: ICCM Application.
Auditing the Masterclass
There is also an option to audit the masterclass as an observer. Auditors are able to observe discussions and all rehearsals with the choir. It is recommended that Auditors study all scores as though they were conducting to gain the maximum benefit. Applicants should submit a completed application, letter of interest and CV.
