Assistant & Administrative Associate

Kristen Jones is a Waco native and a Baylor alumna with a Bachelor Degree in Music History and Literature, with a conducting/piano emphasis. Prior to her time at Baylor, Kristen graduated with her Associates in Arts in Music from McLennan Community College, where she got the chance to tour Europe and conduct in several major European cathedrals as a student choral conductor. While attaining her degrees, Kristen was an active piano and cello teacher, worship leader, and acted as Manager and Assistant Conductor of the Waco Symphony Youth Orchestra. After her time at Baylor, Kristen continued to work with the Waco Symphony Association as an administrator and as the librarian for the Waco Symphony Orchestra. While Covid took her away from the music world in 2020, she had short careers as a public librarian and wedding dress alterations specialist. Kristen was delighted to be able to return to the Baylor family in 2021 as the Special Events Coordinator for the Texas Collection housed in Carroll Library, and finally made her way home to the Baylor School of Music in August 2022.
