A Stitched-Up Life: Presenting the Work of Dr. Mary Ruth Smith
Dr. Mary Ruth Smith headed the Fabric Design concentration in Baylor's Department of Art and Art History for 27 years, retiring in 2020. This exhibition presents a retrospective of her life's work in fiber and textile art.
Baylor 175 Heritage Exhibit
The Texas Collection reflects on Baylor University’s 175th anniversary with a series of canvases showing pictures of Baylor through the years. Starting with a picture of the Women’s Dormitory and ending with current students at Line Camp, the exhibit explores Baylor’s history one decade at a time.
Baylor 175 Banner Exhibit
Created as part of the university’s 175th anniversary, these banners located along the Goodpasture Concourse of Moody Memorial Library display a variety of objects and events that are rooted in Baylor traditions and history.
Borrowed Light: Giclee Prints from Saint John's Abbey
Six illuminated pages from the Heritage Edition of the Saint John's Bible are on display on the first-floor corridor that runs between Moody and Jones Libraries.
Drawn to Campus: A 1939 Cartoon Map of Baylor University
In 1939, Baylor student E. H. Ramirez created a hand-drawn map of Baylor’s campus that highlighted some of his favorite spots. The map, which resides in the Frances C. Poage Map Room at The Texas Collection, contains a staggering amount of detail that is revealed through the enlarging of specific portions of the map, allowing for a closer look. This exhibit is located on the staircase between the first floor and garden levels of Moody Memorial Library.
National Pan-Hellenic 10th Anniversary Exhibit
The University Libraries are proud to host the 10th anniversary exhibit in celebration of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. This online exhibit complements the physical exhibit on display in Moody Memorial Library during the Fall 2021 semester.
On the Subject of Transforming Space: Works by Winter Rusiloski
"On the Subject of Transforming Space" interprets landscape's vastness and horizon through abstraction and the exploration of spatial relationships. Winter Rusiloski has been a professor of painting in Baylor's Department of Art since 2016. Rusiloski has exhibited in over 20 national and international juried exhibitions in the last three years and has had 7 solo exhibitions. Additionally, she has participated in numerous invitational exhibitions and has received national and international awards including best of show.
Sanger-Wood Canvas Exhibit
The Graduate Research Center on the second floor of the W. R. Poage Legislative Library features a selection of canvases featuring photos from the Joan Sanger and Myron Wood Photographic Collection from The Texas Collection. The collection contains photographs of Waco (focusing on downtown) and smaller towns in and around McLennan County. Sanger and Wood’s photographs were taken from 1979-1981.
