Interlibrary Loan/OsoFast

What is Interlibrary Services (ILS)?

It is physically and fiscally impossible for the Baylor Libraries to own every document or information resource needed to support all scholarly activities of its clients. Interlibrary Services is a dedicated team of men and women in the Libraries who try to locate the desired items in other collections around the world and then try to obtain them for temporary use by our clients.

What is OsoFast?

OsoFast is Baylor's interlibrary loan management system. Baylor students, faculty, and staff only need to have a valid Bear ID and password to access OsoFast. Distance education students now only need to use a single interface to request the information sources they need, including items owned by the Baylor Libraries.

Notice to All Users Regarding Copyright

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code), governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order, if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
