G. Hugh and Beverly C. Wamble Spring Lecture for Spring 2017
Charles Watson of the Baptist Joint Committee will be our speaker at the Spring 2017 Wamble Symposium
- Mr. Watson's lecture will be held on April 5, 2017.
- Charles Watson Jr., a native of Millen, Georgia, is the Education and Outreach Specialist of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty. His work is focused on expanding the base of support for religious liberty and engaging the next generation of advocates.
- A graduate of The Citadel, Watson earned a Master of Divinity degree at Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology. He previously served as the Children’s Director of Buckhead Baptist Church in Atlanta and as a hospice chaplain resident, endorsed by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Watson is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
- This year's Wamble Symposium will feature Mr. Watson through visitations to several classrooms, as well as a luncheon including Baylor faculty and graduate students, along with a dinner event including Baylor faculty, graduate students, seminary students of George W. Truett Theological Seminary, the Truett Black Student Association, and local pastors.
