Matthew Pierce ('09)
Matthew is currently a Senior Vice President at Truist Financial (formerly BB&T and SunTrust Banks). When he’s not analyzing markets or crunching numbers, Matthew volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, is a member of the Human Rights Campaign Federal Club, and serves on several boards, such as the Young Professionals Committee at Atlanta’s High Museum of Art and the Student Foundation Leadership Council at Baylor.
Outside of work and community involvement, Matthew enjoys exploring Atlanta’s food scene, traveling the world while collecting antique books by Søren Kierkegaard, and playing with his dog Buckee (yes, named after Buc-ee’s gas station). He has called Atlanta home for seven years and is originally from Houston, Texas.
Matthew earned his MBA from Emory University under a full-tuition fellowship after completing a Master of Finance from Tulane University and his undergraduate BBA degree at Baylor University.
