Setting Filters
Various NetTracker options require you to set a filter. There are two things you need to keep in mind while setting filters.
- First, to use a regular expression to define the filter, use the operator
that match the pattern. (For details on regular expressions, see "Using
Regular Expressions with NetTracker".)
Note: You cannot use regular expressions to define visitor profiles. You can, however, select match the pattern and use the special characters for pattern matching that are supported by the database you are using with NetTracker. For details, see "Using Database Pattern-Matching Characters".
- Second, multiple filters of the same type and operator (match, start with,
etc.) are joined with OR, meaning an entry must meet any one of the filters
to be included in the report. Multiple filters of different types or operators
are joined with AND, meaning an entry must meet all filters to be included.
