Recognized campus-wide as the most selective undergraduate academic program at Baylor, the University Scholars Program generally accepts less than two percent of the University’s entering students.
It is an opportunity to pursue an individualized course of study in consultation with a faculty director. Studies include a three-course sequence in Great Texts, creating an independent reading list, and submitting a senior thesis.
University Scholars are:
- Intellectually gifted and highly motivated, having a wide range of interests and an intense love of learning.
- Students who rank in the top ten percent of their high school class and who present strong dossiers and standardized test scores; these often include National Merit Finalists.
