Truett Student, Emily Snider, Has Paper Selected for Emerging Scholars Forum of the Hymn Society

April 19, 2010

Congratulations are in order for Master of Divinity/Master of Music in Church Music student Emily Snider, whose paper on "Hymns and Doctrine: God's Transcendence and Immanence" has been selected for presentation at the Emerging Scholars Forum of the Hymn Society in the United States and Canada annual conference this summer. Emily is completing her second year as a dual M.Div./M.M. in Church Music student.

The Emerging Scholars Forum chooses three papers on congregational song for presentation from proposals submitted by graduate students in universities and seminaries from across the United States and Canada. The Hymn Society is a professional organization that encourages research into hymnody, effective use of congregational song, and the writing of new Christian hymns and songs.

We congratulate Emily on this accomplishment!
