Two Truett Alums to Speak in Baylor Chapel In April

Julie Merritt, a graduate of Baylor University's George W. Truett Theological Seminary, will speak in chapel on April 2. Merritt is serving as a pastoral resident at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas. She previously served as an interim associate pastor at Friedens United Church of Christ in Riesel and as pastoral associate at DaySpring Baptist Church in Waco.

Matt Cook, the pastor of Second Baptist Church in Little Rock, Ark., will speak in chapel on April 23. Cook graduated from Samford University in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in history. He recently graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University's George W. Truett Theological Seminary with a master's in divinity and is currently working on his doctorate degree in church history at Baylor.
