Julie Pennington-Russell To Speak At Truett Luncheon June 30
Waco, Texas--Julie Pennington-Russell, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Waco, will be the featured speaker at the George W. Truett Theological Seminary Alumni Association luncheon scheduled during the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship General Assembly. The luncheon will be held 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, Grapevine, Texas
Pennington-Russell has served as pastor of Calvary since August of 1998. Prior to coming to Waco, she served at Nineteenth Avenue Baptist Church in San Francisco where she served from 1984 to 1992 as associate pastor and from 1992 to 1998 as pastor.
Julie earned a bachelor's in communicative disorders from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, a master of divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently working on a doctor of ministry at Baylor's Truett Seminary.
