Continuing Education

Through our partnership with Baylor Continuing Education, participants in the spiritual direction training program may include Baylor University faculty and staff, Truett Seminary alumni, alumni of other theological institutions, and other interested applicants. Prerequisites in biblical and theological education (at least 12 credit hours at an undergraduate or graduate level) and personal references will be required for admission.

Certification
This program requires a four-semester commitment in order to receive certification in spiritual direction. The first cohort meets Fall 2017-Spring 2019. Course fees will involve two payments of $846 each due in August 2017 and August 2018, plus books and personal spiritual direction fees. The deadline for the completed application, including reference letters, is August 18, 2017. For more information and application instructions, contact Truett_SpiritualForm@baylor.edu. Applications are processed and approved through Truett Seminary, then registration will occur through Continuing Education.

If you are eligible for employee tuition remission, you may choose to register for the course as a student. Please see Baylor Human Resources for information on this process. Those qualifying for tuition remission must also be approved through the Truett Spiritual Formation office to participate. Please contact Truett_SpiritualForm@baylor.edu for the application and reference forms.
