The Fall Preaching Convocation

The Fall Preaching Convocation is a two-day emphasis featuring nationally (and internationally) recognized professors and/or preachers in preaching, lecturing, and dialogue.

  • The 2008 Fall Preaching Convocation was presented by Dr. Thomas Long.
  • The 2009 Fall Preaching Convocation was presented by Dr. Haddon Robinson.

The Winter Pastors School

The Winter Pastors School is an annual three-day event featuring nationally and internationally recognized professors and/or preachers in preaching, lecturing, and dialogue combined with a variety of breakout sessions focused on preaching, worship, and pastoral ministry, led by leaders in the field.

Seminars and Workshops

One-week seminars are offered in January and the summer.
Two and three day workshops are also be offered periodically. In these workshops, Truett faculty and renowned experts in the field will focus on topics such as:

  • Imaginative Reading for Creative Preaching
  • Preaching from... (the focus will fall on a particular type of Biblical literature)
  • "From Text to Sermon" - interpretation and preaching workshops
  • Preaching and Worship
  • Pastoral/Prophetic/Evangelistic/Narrative Preaching
