Church Placement Resources

Truett Seminary enjoys strong relationships with Baptist churches in Texas and across the United States. Built upon the strong foundation of church service that Baylor undergraduate and doctoral students have provided, Truett Seminary is now able to enhance that reputation even further with placement of high quality ministers in the local church and other ministry settings. Truett students, alumni, and friends are in high demand.

Ministry as a Student
With many churches in and around the Waco area , there are numerous options for Truett students who want a place of service during seminary. Truett Seminary places nearly 100% of its students within three months. Truett Students serve as pastors, college ministers, youth ministers, music ministers, social workers, education ministers, and chaplains. Assistance in placement begins with acceptance to the seminary. A student's resume is matched up with requests made to the seminary's office of the coordinator of pastoral ministries. Placement is not limited to Baptist churches as churches from other denominations commonly make requests for resumes.

Graduate Placement
To date, Truett Seminary has seen over 95% of its graduates find a place of service within six months of graduation. While many of Truett's graduates serve churches in Texas, a significant number of alumni have gone on to serve churches all over the country.

Chaplaincy, Missions, Counseling, and Other Ministries
