Overview of the Truett Doctor of Ministry Program

The Doctor of Ministry program at Truett Seminary is a 30-hour program consisting of three basic elements - on campus seminars, off campus directed study and a major culminating project.

Seminars
The on campus requirements of the program are primarily fulfilled by preparing for and participating in four two-week seminars.

Individual Guided/Directed Study
Each student, under the direction and guidance of a Faculty Supervisor and Field Supervisor (Doctoral Committee), will design a program of off campus directed study consisting primarily of 30 books and 3 major learning events. A major integrative paper will also be completed during the period of directed study.

Culminating Project
A Culminating Project Proposal must be recommended by the student's Faculty Supervisor and Field Supervisor (Doctoral Committee), and approved by the Doctor of Ministry Committee and the Truett Faculty before work on the project can begin.
