The Program Director of Teal Residential College is a student affairs professional within the School of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS). The Program Director is responsible for the marketing, recruitment and admissions process for Teal. In collaboration with the Faculty Master, the Program Director serves as the staff advisor to the College Council providing guidance through mentoring, training, and logistical support.
Emily Sandvall serves as the Assistant Director for Student Initiatives in the School of Engineering and Computer Science. In her role, she serves as the Program Director for Teal Residential College, coordinates the first year experience for the School of Engineering and Computer Science as well as summer recruitment programs for prospective students. Prior to her role with ECS, Emily worked with extended orientation at both Baylor University and Southern Methodist University. She earned her M.Ed. in College Student Affairs in 2006 at Azusa Pacific University. As a Baylor alumna (B.S. 2004), Emily is passionate about the Baylor experience and loves walking alongside students through their college journey. Emily and her husband, Bryce, have two girls – Fallin and Parker – who love spending time with college students!
