The following is a list of classroom training courses available from the TRAX (PeopleSoft) training team. Classrooom training is available for faculty or staff members and is required for each module you have access to in the TRAX system. Each participant must have an active Bear ID and password in order to attend these classes. Intro/Navigation/Budget This is the first part of a five part course covering TRAX (PeopleSoft Financials), the Baylor University financial transaction system.  The user will receive an overview of the TRAX system, how to log in and navigate the system, as well as view Budget information.  Note:  This is the only course a user will need if they will only be looking at budget information and is a pre-requisite for all other TRAX courses.
Level: Novice
Length: 2.5 hours
Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, all users who have access to the Budget module in TRAX

Reporting This course covers the basics of creating and running various budget reports in the TRAX (PeopleSoft Financials) system. 
Level: Intermediate
Length: 1.5 hours
Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, users who have access to the Budget module in TRAX and have the responsibility of running reports for their department.

Vouchers & Requisitions In this course, users will learn how to enter and submit requests for Accounts Payable Vouchers and Requisitions using the TRAX financial system.
Level: Intermediate
Length: 3 hours
Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, all users who have the responsibility of spending departmental funds through the Accounts Payable and/or Purchasing modules in TRAX

Departmental Receipts This course covers the basics of depositing funds at the university using the TRAX system. 
Level: Intermediate
Length: 1.5 hours
Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, all users who have access to the Cashiers module in TRAX

Departmental Adjustments & Budget Change Requests This is the final course in a 5 part series course covering TRAX, the Baylor University Financial Transaction system.  This training covers the Departmental Adjustment Request and Budget Change Request functions in TRAX.  The user will learn how to use TRAX to recode transactions, process interdepartmental charges, and process requests to transfer budget funds at the university. 
Level: Advanced
Length: 3 hours
Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, all users who have access to the Departmental Adjustments/General Ledger and Budget Change Request modules in TRAX

Executive Training This optional course is perfect for the Department Head or Faculty member who is responsible for overseeing operational department ID's, startup funds, and/or grants . This session will show you how to access and view budget information online, view and approve vouchers, requisitions, departmental adjustments and budget change requests.   
Level: Novice
Length: 2.5 hours
Target Audience: Department Heads or Chairs, faculty employees who are responsible for grants or startup funds. 

Workcenters This optional course is perfect for the advanced or frequent TRAX/PeopleSoft user. Workcenter's help users dramatically boost productivity by consolidating user tasks, exceptions, alerts, links, reports and queries into a single, secure, role-based command center that can easily be personalized. In this open lab setting, we will learn how to make Workcenter's work for you.
Level: Advanced
Length: 2 hours
Target Audience: Frequent users of the TRAX system.

Unless otherwise specified, all TRAX training courses are held in the ITS seminar rooms in the Dutton Avenue Office and Parking Facility. This building is located on the southeast corner of Dutton Avenue and University Parks Drive. Specifically, the ITS offices are on the north side of the building with entrances located in the garage interior, as well as the exterior, facing University Parks Drive.
