The following is a list of classroom training courses available from the TRAX (PeopleSoft) training team. Classrooom training is required for each module you have access to. To sign up for training, please visit the Training & Development Online Seminar Registration site.  If you any questions, please email trax@baylor.edu.

Intro/Budget/Reporting This is the first part of a six part course covering TRAX (PeopleSoft Financials), the Baylor University financial transaction system.  The user will receive an overview of the TRAX system, how to log in and navigate the system, as well as view Budget information and request reports.  Note:  This is the only course a user will need if they will only be looking at budget information.
Level: Novice
Length: 2.5 hours
Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, all users who have access to the Budget module in TRAX

Vouchers This is the second part of a six part course covering TRAX, the Baylor University financial transaction system.  The user will learn how to enter Accounts Payable vouchers using TRAX.
Level: Intermediate
Length: 1.5 hours
Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, all users who have access to the Vouchers module in TRAX

Requisitions This is the third part of a six part course covering TRAX, Baylor University Financial Transaction system.  The user will learn how to enter and approve requisitions using TRAX.
Level: Intermediate
Length: 1.5 hours
Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, all users who have access to the Requisitions module in TRAX

Departmental Receipts This is the fourth part of a six part course covering TRAX, Baylor University Financial Transaction system.  The user will learn how to use TRAX to deposit funds at the university.
Level: Intermediate
Length: 1.5 hours
Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, all users who have access to the Departmental Receipts module in TRAX

Departmental Adjustments This is the fifth part of a six part course covering TRAX, the Baylor University Financial Transaction system.  This training covers the Departmental Adjustment Request function in TRAX.  The user will learn how to use TRAX to recode transactions and process interdepartmental charges at the university.

Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, all users who have access to the Departmental Adjustments/Accounting module in TRAX

Budget Change Request This is the sixth training session in a six part course covering TRAX, the Baylor University financial transaction system. This session will cover the online Budget Change Request (BCR) function in TRAX. The user will learn how to use TRAX to transfer budget funds to and from different departments and accounts. This workshop will assume the user knows the basics of TRAX.

Target Audience: New Faculty/Staff employees, new users of the TRAX system, all users who have access to the Budget Change Request module in TRAX

Executive Training This optional course is perfect for the Department Head or Faculty member who is responsible for overseeing operational department ID's, startup funds, and/or grants . This session will show you how to access and view budget information, request financial reports for your departments, view and approve vouchers, requisitions, departmental adjustments and budget change requests.   
Level: Intermediate
Length: 2.5 hours
Target Audience: Department Heads or Chairs, faculty employees who are responsible for grants or startup funds.
