Physics Circus

Physics Circus is committed to creating a scientific and technological workforce. The Physics Circus addresses two-pronged challenges by pairing research scientists from the fields of physics and education in order to create powerful learning experiences.

The CASPER Physics Circus was created during the 2000-2001 school year by Dr. Truell Hyde, Vice Provost for Research, Director of the Center for Astrophysics, Space Physics and Engineering Research and Professor of Physics. This program promotes science education and interest in pursuing science related careers by demonstrating higher level science concepts to local K-12 students. GEAR UP Waco cohort students and other students living in the community have an opportunity to attend Physics Circus. They are able to learn in a fun, engaging manner that makes physics both applicable and accessible.
