Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs
GEAR UP is a federally funded program designed to better prepare students for college through academic preparation programs, professional development activities for educators, and college access information for students and parents.
GEAR UP Waco serves middle and high school students in the Waco and La Vega Independent School District.
Baylor University, Texas State Technical College-Waco, Communities in Schools (CIS), the City of Waco, La Vega ISD, and Waco ISD established a partnership that is committed to helping students prepare to enter and succeed in college.
