Dan Buck (2010)

Graduate Student Postmodern Scene with Undergraduate Actors Dan Buck came to Baylor University after creating a Theatre Department at a private high school in Orlando.  He knew he wanted to learn more about his craft as a director.

So, he moved his family to Waco and enrolled in the MFA program.  While there, he greatly expanded his play literacy and became particularly interested in the study of contemporary comedy and audience interactive theatre.

Immediately after graduating Dan was hired to a tenure track position as an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Lee University (Cleveland, TN)where he teaches Acting and Directing and he directs two productions a year.  He is spearheading the recruitment and growth of a rapidly expanding department and hopes to one day open his own theatre company.

Dan's MFA thesis project at Baylor was Fuddy Meers by David Lindsay-Abaire.
