Exchange Student Health
All students enrolled at Baylor University must complete and submit a Health Form for institutional approval. Students are not able to register for courses, nor are they able to move into on-campus housing, before their Health Form has been approved. The Required Health Form can be accessed here. Please follow the specific directions in
the form, any Health Form that is not completed will not be approved and will prolong
your ability to register for courses.
Bacterial Meningitis Vaccine
Please note, a Bacterial Meningitis Vaccine (BMV) is compulsory to attend any Higher
Education Institution in the State of Texas as of January 1, 2012. You must
document your vaccination in the health form that accompanies the general application.
It is absolutely vital to your participation as an exchange student at Baylor University
that you procure a BMV vaccination, in addition to completing all of the required Health
Form components. We will not be able to register you for classes, nor will you be able to
move-in to on-campus residence halls, until you have submitted proof of the BMV
vaccination, and that proof has been approved.
All international students on Baylor's campus are automatically charged for Baylor health insurance. If you already have health insurance in your own country and want to see if you qualify for a waiver of this charge and enrolment, please follow the process at the bottom of this webpage: International Student Health Insurance Policy.
**INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS SHOULD NOT PURCHASE HEALTH INSURANCE WITH THE INTENT OF GETTING A WAIVER. TRAVEL INSURANCE WILL NOT RECEIVE A WAIVER FROM BAYLOR'S INSURANCE.
