ABOUT THE PROGRAM DIRECTORS
Associate Professor and Associate Chair of Economics
Dr. Emerson came to Baylor in the fall of 2000. She earned her MA and PhD from the USC and her BA from the University of Hawaii – all in Economics. Her research in economic education investigates the efficacy of active learning techniques. She has taught a wide variety of economics courses and has been recognized for her teaching by the Mortar Board Circle of Achievement, Phi Beta Kappa, and as a Baylor Fellow. Dr. Emerson enjoys travel and has participated in study abroad programs as both a student and faculty member including travel to Japan, Great Britain, and Kenya.

Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development and Associate Professor of Management Information Systems
Dr. Riemenschneider joined the Baylor faculty in the fall of 2008. She earned her BBA and MBA at Baylor University and her PhD at the University of Texas at Arlington. She currently conducts research on IT work force issues in the public and private sectors including retention and job satisfaction at the organization and career levels, women in IT including longitudinal studies of the unique challenges they face. Dr. Riemenschneider has taught in a study abroad program in Greece and as a guest professor at the University of Caen, France.
