Exchange Student Class Registration
As an undergraduate exchange student, you have the opportunity to sign up for any undergraduate-level class across disciplines, assuming you meet the required prerequisites. All 1000-4000-level classes are undergraduate courses; 5000-level and above classes are exclusively for graduate-level students. Please download the academic advisement form and view the schedule of classes for the semester of your intended study. Both the form and schedule can be accessed from the box to the right.
Please e-mail the form as well as your transcript, in English, as attachments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Prior to your arrival, you will be assigned an academic advisor who will register you for your classes. You can view your registration on the student portal, BEARWEB. Bearweb shows you your class registration as well as holds your personal information that is required of Baylor.
Exchange students are generally registered before the required arrival date. During orientation week, you will have the chance to meet your advisor and make any schedule changes you wish.
**If your university requires a syllabus for a class you are interested in taking, please look at the academic department website as the syllabus may be online or so you can request a certain syllabus from that department/instructor. Academic Colleges and Schools within Baylor have websites that are listed HERE.
Graduate Students, Law Students, and Seminary Students
Information regarding graduate-level classes for your term at Baylor can be found on the links to the right. Please note, graduate student courses are 5000-level classes and above. Pay close attention to a course's prerequisites. All exchange student transcripts will be reviewed to ensure each exchange student has the required prerequisite classes, or their approximate equivalents, and thus has the needed academic background to participate in a requested course. Graduate students are not permitted to take undergraduate-level courses, which are 1000-4000 level courses.
If you have been accepted into a graduate or law program, you will be advised and registered upon your arrival. You do not need to fill out the forms in the right box.
So you have been registered for classes
After you see that you have been registered for classes, you will need to confirm your attendance and financially settle. Confirming your attendance will activate your exchange tuition scholarships. Financially settling your account will ensure Baylor of your attendance and your intent to pay any charges.
**Financial settlement does not require that you pay the balance in full. If you choose to only pay the minimum amount required, you will automatically be enrolled for the monthly installment payment plan, which will have a one time fee. Financial settlement can be done upon your arrival at Baylor University.
