Dr. Lisa Baker PhD MD
Dr. Baker is a pediatrician and a faculty member in the Honors College. She attended Baylor as an undergraduate and has spent her post-Baylor days teaching in medical school, seeing patients, doing clinical research, and administrating health centers for the indigent and homeless. She and Dr. Abell (they are married) returned to Baylor in 2007 to teach a variety of pre-med courses for undergraduates. Dr. Baker's other interest is in Kenya, where she leads the Straw to Bread project and annual Baylor Medical and Public Health Mission Trip.

FALL 2014: Pre-Med ProgramThis program is only open to pre-med students. After the 2014 program, the next pre-med Maastricht program will be fall of 2016.
Students will choose 3 or 4 Baylor courses taught by Baylor faculty and 1 course taught by a Dutch professor. All courses are taught in English.
Only serious students who have completed at least 30 hours at Baylor should apply.
Students must have a minimum 3.3 GPA and have completed BIO 3422 or HED 3350 (Human Physiology) before fall 2014. All students will be interviewed by Dr. Abell and Dr. Baker before being accepted into the program. Please note that participants' grades will be submitted to the program directors after the Spring 2014 semester. If a participant's GPA does not meet the requirement at that point, they will not be permitted to go on the program.
The program is limited to 60 students.
