Location:
Hosei University was founded on the spirit of liberty and the ideal of progress at the turning point of world history, which was during the domestic movement to establish the Diet to promote modernization of Japan, and during the world transtition of the free trading system centering in England. Since that time, Hosei University contributed to the establishment of a modern legal system with the spirit of liberalism at its core, established by the first faculty of economics in a private university. The university has also advanced the fulfillment of humanities by descendants of Soseki Natsume, and thus has built a tradition as one of Japan's leading private universities.

Application Procedure:
Students have to submit an internal application, typically due by the end of January for the upcoming academic year and need to be recommended by the Japanese Exchange Program Committee before they can apply to Hosei University. Yuko Prefume, the Hosei Director, will help students fill out the applications to the university.

Costs:
Each student will pay all tuition costs directly to Baylor as if you were here on campus. You will pay your room and board to the host university.Each student is responsible for their own transportation, including airfare. Check the university's website to see if they offer airport pick-up.
