General Information

As a Baylor student, you are eligible to study abroad with a GROUP STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM or an EXCHANGE/AFFILIATE PROGRAM. Both types of programs are availiable in the summer and during the semester, some for a full year. It is possible, and encouraged, to study abroad more than once during your Baylor career and you may choose any program that interests you. Each program has a faculty or staff member who oversees the program and will be able to answer your specific questions (this person being called the "program director"). Please see the program page for information regarding the specific program's director.

At Baylor, we offer two different types of programs:

GROUP STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS
•You will travel with other Baylor students and a Baylor professor.
•Some or all courses are taught by the Baylor professor/s.
•Group programs can be one semester or one summer session in length (in some cases shorter).

EXCHANGE/AFFILIATE PROGRAMS
•You will travel to a host university independently (note that this does not necessarily mean that you will be the only Baylor student attending the university for your desired period of time).
•Courses are taught by the host university's faculty and in English unless noted on the program page.
•Exchange/affiliate programs can be for a summer sessions, semester, or a full year.

DEADLINES

•For GROUP PROGRAMS, deadlines vary according to the program (Consult with the program director for more information - programs are available on a first come, first serve basis).

•For EXCHANGE/AFFILIATE PROGRAMS, the deadline for applications to attend a summer study abroad program is March 1st, to attend a fall study abroad program is April 1st and to attend a spring study abroad program is October 30th. For EXCHANGE/AFFILIATE PROGRAMS, you will also have to apply to the host university. Please see the program page for information regarding the host university's application.

•IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIND THE HOST UNIVERSITY'S APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR EXCHANGE/AFFILIATE PROGRAMS.

Please note that-
•All programs count for Baylor residence credit, apply to your Baylor GPA and can be attended any semester or summer beginning the summer of your freshman year (even the semester you graduate).
•All financial aid and scholarships you recieve while here on campus will apply to your time abroad.
