Sept. 27, 2016 Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian David McCullough gave Baylor’s annual Beall Russell Lecture in the Humanities on Tuesday, speaking on the "Incomparable Advantage of Intellectual Curiosity," which he cited as the key mechanism that drive people to leave lasting legacies. “Curiosity is, in many ways, what separates us from the cabbages,” McCullough said. “It’s that drive that comes with knowing something, and you want to know more. It’s accelerative, like gravity.”
