McLane Stadium - July Media Tour

Baylor hosted media representatives today for a tour of McLane Stadium. Contractors estimate that the stadium is about 97% complete - on the five yard line ready to punch it in for a #Baylor touchdown. The media was also given an opportunity to view the Hart Track and Field complex - due to be completed this fall. #SicEm

Fort Bend Star: Sugar Land Girl Scout betters YMCA soccer fields to earn Gold Award

Sasha Asthana, a Girl Scout from Sugar Land, recently planned, constructed and installed a set of benches at her local YMCA soccer fields. This earned her the Girl Scouts of the USA’s Gold Award. This fall Asthana plans to attend Baylor University to study biomedical engineering.

KXXV-TV: Baylor gets $8 million gift, regents increase tuition for 2015 school year

Baylor received a generous $8 million gift from Dr. Thomas J. Rosenbalm, a Baylor alumnus and physician, who gave the gift in honor of his father and mother, Clarence and Claudia Rosenbalm. The gift is earmarked for renovations to Fifth Street and the addition of a fountain, which will anchor the area.

Joshua P. Searcy, J.D. ’05, was recently presented the Romina L. Mulloy Bossio Achievement Award by the Young Lawyers Committee of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the Texas State Bar. Searcy was given the award because of “his contributions to community service, pro bono work and efforts to encourage and support other young bankruptcy attorneys in their community and at large.”

Baylor Mourns Passing of Business School Faculty Member

WACO, Texas (July 16, 2014) – Baylor University is mourning the passing of Joe Cox, Ph.D., longtime professor of management in the Hankamer School of Business. Dr. Cox, who was 67, passed away suddenly Sunday, July 13, 2014, while on a family vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada.
