The Steppin' Out Steering Committee meets weekly throughout the academic year to recruit student volunteers, connect with community agencies and organizations, plan the Block Party, and organize site logistics for the fall and spring events.

[OPPORTUNITIES]

Students on the Steppin' Out Steering Committee:

•Gain valuable leadership skills in event planning and community building

•Form partnerships with local agencies, churches, schools, and organizations

•Encourage students to connect with the campus and local community

[MEMBERSHIP EXPECTATIONS]

Active participation in the planning and execution of Steppin' Out and Block Party. All members are required to have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 as outlined in University policies. Members are expected to participate actively in weekly meetings and other events.

Interested students may complete an application to serve as a member of this dynamic team.
