Student Organization of the Year]
The Student Organization of the Year Award seeks to recognize one organization each year that has demonstrated true excellence among its peers within the University community. The Department of Student Activities will determine honorees based upon organizational responses to essay questions and recommendations.
The application for the 2016-2017 award will be avaialble in March 2017.

The Society of Women Engineers was honored as Student Organization of the Year due to their ongoing activity in academics and service. They have developed a professional development program, collaborated with many other student organizations, as well as promoted STEM to empower young women in the community to seek out the career field. They have also won two awards from their regional office in the last year. The Society of Women Engineers has been known to create a culture of engagement and leadership amongst Engineering and Computer Science Students and we congratulate them on this accomplishment.
