]The Department of Student Activities recognizes excellence in service and leadership by student organizations during the annual Student Involvement Awards Ceremony. The awards highlight community service, leadership, philanthropy, and overall involvement in both the Baylor and Waco communities. As an organization leader, we encourage you to apply to be considered for recognition in the 2011 Student Involvement Awards Ceremony.
[STUDENT ORGANIZATION AWARDS]
The Department of Student Activities recognizes a variety of awards for students, student organizations, and student organization advisors:Awards for each academic year are given out at the end of the spring semester.
[GREEK LIFE AWARDS]
Each year the Greek Community is recogized for the various accomplishments of its chapter and members.
- Abner McCall Service Award
- Academic Excellence Award
- Greek Man of the Year
- Greek Woman of the Year
- Outstanding Greek Leaders
- Herbert H. Reynolds Award*
*This award serves as recognition of excellence in total chapter management. A chapter may recieve an HHR award in one of the three levels Excellence, Gold, and Silver. The HHR award for Fraternal Excellence is the highest honor bestowed upon a fraternity or sorority chapter at Baylor University.
[COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS]
The following awards will be offered at this year's Student Organization and Leadership Awards Ceremony:
- John S. Belew Award - Outstanding Male in Community Service
- Virginia Crump Award - Outstanding Female in Community Service
- A.A. Hyden Award - Outstanding Student Organization in Community Service
- Golden Shovel Award for Outstanding Volunteers at Steppin' Out
- Santa's Workshop Toy and Joy Award
