Traditions Rally

Slime Cap Info.
If you are a new student or transfer student and have not yet received a Slime Cap, you may pick one up in the Department of Student Activities in the SUB.

What is a Slime Cap?

New Students: Your Community Leader will designate a common meeting place for your hall. Gather at the prearranged, designated location at 6:15 pm to catch a bus to Floyd Casey Stadium. All new students are requested to wear your slime cap and Baylor Line Jersey.

UPPERCLASSMEN: Meet at 6:15 at Stadium One, in front of the scoreboard. Wear your green and gold!

Baylor's annual Traditions Rally, the official football home opener rally and tailgate, sponsored by Baylor Athletics, Student Activities, Greek Life, IFC, Chamber, and Delta Tau Delta will take place at Floyd Casey Stadium on Thursday. Come meet the Baylor Football coaches and players and cheer our team on to victory against Wofford! Come for free food, live music featuring Ben Rector and Kyle Park, and fireworks!

At the heart of Baylor's Annual Traditions Rally are numerous Spirit Traditions. Each fall, on the weekdays before the home football opener, returning students gather along with new students to celebrate Baylor's rich heritage and athletic & spirit traditions. It is on this night that the torch is officially passed to new students as bearers of the Baylor spirit and legacy.
