About Our Scholarships

Be in "the Know" about StuFu Scholarships.
You want to make a difference, so we want to make sure you know the difference between the two main ways to support Student Foundation scholarships: current scholarships and endowed scholarships.

Endowment

Gifts to endowed funds make a permanent impact because the initial gift remains in the endowment while a portion of the earnings is used to provide a scholarship to a deserving student. All gifts to endowment designated for Student Foundation support Student Foundation scholarships. You may choose to:

  • support the general Student Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund or an existing named Student Foundation Endowment Fund; or
  • create an endowed scholarship fund in your own name
or in tribute to a friend or loved one. You may fund your endowment over a period of five years, and when the fund reaches $50,000 it will begin providing assistance.
Please call 254-710-2561 for more information.

Current Gifts

Contributions given as a current gift are funds that will be used to meet needs within the current fiscal year. Current gifts to Student Foundation provide immediate benefits to students when the scholarships are awarded at the Spring Scholarship Banquet.

Current gifts are usually raised by the Student Foundation Financial Affairs Committee, however you can also make your gift online.

We'd love to talk with you more about our scholarships. Please contact us if you would like a member of the Alumni Relations Committee to meet with you.
