Student Foundation Bearathon and 5K Run

The Student Foundation Bearathon and 5K Run begin at 8 a.m. on March 20, 2010. Information will continue to be updated so be sure to check back with us soon!

Don't forget: Bearathon 2010 is a CUP-FREE RACE. Click here for details.

The Bearathon (Cert. #: TX10030ETM) is a challenging 13.1-mile half-marathon that serves as Student Foundation's main fundraising event each spring. The Bearathon course, which begins and ends on the campus of Baylor University, includes running through beautiful Cameron Park and scenic downtown Waco.

The 5K is another way you can be involved in this year's race. The 5K course follows the same path as the start of the Bearathon and takes runners on a scenic tour of Baylor's campus.

Did you know:

• Bearathon 2009 marked the seventh anniversary of this new tradition

• Almost 900 participants registered to run the 2009 race, raising $15,000 for student scholarships

• Almost half of those participants traveled from outside of Waco to run in Bearathon, and 47 runners traveled from out-of-state

• Bearathon has earned a reputation as the "The Toughest Half-Marathon in the State of Texas"
