Student Activities Mission Statement

The Department of Student Activities challenges students to become people of influence through student organization membership, exceptional campus programs, leadership development, and a commitment to serving our communities by connecting generations of students to the life of the university.

Learning Outcomes Support Statement

We accomplish this mission by encouraging and enabling students to become influential leaders through building community, valuing diversity, practicing stewardship, growing intellectually, and nurturing personal faith.

Purpose Statement

The purpoose of the Baylor University Student Union is to provide students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests - quality programs, facilities, services and learning opportunities, which facilitate community building and personal/professional development.

As a center for many of the department's activities, the Student Union Building (The S.U.B.) or otherwise known as Bill Daniel Student Center, provides a place to relax, study, and participate in activities which build respect, appreciation and enduring loyalty between members of the Baylor community and to Baylor University.
