The Department of Student Activities programming consists of the following:
Traditions Programming
Non-Traditional Programs (Leadership/Academic Initiatives)
Student Productions (After Dark, Pigskin, Sing, Stompfest, Baylor Rising Artists Network)
All Campus Programs support the Mission of the Department of Student Activities and reflect our Core Values. We program utilizing five philosophies/strategies to achieve our purposes.
1) Retention & Involvement: In order to support the retention efforts of the University, Campus Programs works to ensure that students have opportunities to become involved in the Baylor community. Throughout the academic year, Campus Programs collaborates with student organizations and Departments to make sure that quality programs are planned and produced that engage students and give them the opportunity to get to know their peers.
2) Community: Programs are purposefully planned to create and support school traditions and allow for personal growth through socialization opportunities. Campus Programs seeks to foster an institutional commitment by planning programs that generate new friendships, a sense of belonging, and personal development.
3) Education & Personal Development: Programs are intentionally planned to compliment and be an extension of the classroom education. As such we actively seek partnerships with academic departments to provide programs which reflect the academic priority of Baylor University. Our programs also provide students with the opportunity to develop socially, intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally.
