Baylor Board Votes to Seek New President

The Baylor University Board of Regents voted today to begin the search for a new University President. Board Chairman Dr. Howard K. Batson said the decision was necessary in order to unite Baylor's many constituencies and move the University forward in its next period of growth and renewal. Batson said the move represents the Regents' acknowledgement of a need for unifying leadership as Baylor strives to achieve its goals under Baylor 2012.

Endowed Scholarship Fund honoring Baylor Staff

Mayborn Museum Complex Announces Summer 2008 Traveling Exhibit: National Geographic MAPS: Tools for Adventure

Baylor University's Mayborn Museum Complex is pleased to announce its 2008 summer traveling exhibit - National Geographic MAPS: Tools for Adventure - a new international traveling exhibit from The Children's Museum of Indianapolis and the National Geographic Society. The exhibit will be on display from June 1 through Sept. 7, 2008, in the Thomas E. and Emilyne Weed Anding Traveling Exhibit Gallery at Mayborn Museum Complex on the Baylor campus.

Baylor's 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipients Named

The Baylor Alumni Association will bestow the Distinguished Alumni Award upon five Baylor graduates - Steven Browning, Virginia Cannaday DuPuy, Mark Hurd, Dr. James Shelhamer and Abelardo Valdez - at a black-tie banquet at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in the Cashion Academic Center on the Baylor campus. Presented annually since 1965, the prestigious award has honored governors and scientists, artists and denominational leaders, and educators and entrepreneurs.
