Nov. 2, 2007

Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,

You are encouraged to begin nominating staff members for the university's 2007 Outstanding Staff Awards, individuals you believe have done an exceptional job over the past year. The staff categories of employees to be selected are as follows:

A. Executive/Administrative/Management
B. Professional (degree required)
C. Office/Clerical
D. Technical/Paraprofessional/Skilled Crafts/Service Maintenance

Selections will be based on the following criteria: (1) support in fulfilling the university's mission, (2) achievements within the respective job assignment, and (3) contributions through service at Baylor, in the local community and church.

You may nominate any staff member without regards to his/her category. Nominees must have been employed at the university for at least one year. Nominations may be submitted electronically (preferred method) by completing the electronic nomination form which is located at: http://www.baylor.edu/hr_services/outstandingstaff.

Manually completed nomination forms are to be forwarded to the Outstanding Staff Selection Committee, in care of the address below. All nominations must be received by Friday, January 4, 2008. Nominations received after this date will not be considered. Selected employees will be recognized during the Spring Staff Forum on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, to be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Waco Hall.

Recognition as Outstanding Staff is considered to be a great honor and recipients should represent the very best of Baylor's staff. We sincerely encourage and appreciate the thoughtful participation of every staff and faculty member in this nomination process.

Sincerely,
